Work of art meets state of the art seems a fitting description for this seventh generation iMac. A powerful and sleek machine that all designers, production engineers, scientists and gamers should sit up and take notice of. The iMac available in 21,5-inch and 27-inch models is 5mm thinner with 75% less reflection as a result of the new anti-glare coating and laminated display with each machine having been individually calibrated on the manufacturing line so it's ready for use out of the box.
It's power-packed on the inside with quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 processors reading standard speeds of up to 3.2 GHz or customizable up to 3.4GHz with the Core i7. OS X allows simultaneous threads to run up to eight virtual cores of processing power with Hyper-Threading. Turbo Boost 2.0 gives your new iMac the necessary kick desired for processor intensive applications like Aperture or Final Cut Pro – it's of course a seamless process to the user.
iMac comes standard with a 1TB hard drive and the 27" is customizable up to 3TB. Or you may prefer 768GB of flash storage to replace your hard drive on the 27” iMac. Offering the best of both, iMac introduces Fusion Drive in 1TB or 3TB to give you the benefit of mass storage with the speed of use that comes with a flash storage device. Fusion Drive offers photo import from Aperture that is 3.5x faster and system boot of up to 1.7x faster. All iMac models have two Thuderbolt ports each with 10-Gbps data cannels, four USB 3.0 ports and the latest in wireless and Bluetooth 4.0 capability making it easy to use your accessories without the cables.
NVIDIA's new Kepler graphics offers 60% faster graphics performance that will have gamers, graphic artists and animators with no time to drum their fingers. The serious users will be able to customize their new 27” iMac to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX that promises to be the Ferrari of all computers.
Other fancy features include new built-in speakers, dual mics with voice filter and easier dictation and better call quality when using FaceTime, speaking of which you get the built-in 720p FaceTime HD camera.
